Welcome to the Kentucky Coffee Trail. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Kentucky Coffee Trail app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. User Accounts & Age Requirements

To fully participate in the trail (earning points, unlocking badges, posting to the community), you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating your profile.

Age Requirement: To ensure a safe environment, users under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the social features of the app, including the Community feed and Direct Messages. By declaring your age status, you agree to provide truthful information.

3. Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use

The Kentucky Coffee Trail is a positive, inclusive community for coffee enthusiasts. When using features like posts, reviews, and direct messages, you agree NOT to:

• Post content that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or defamatory.
• Post spam, promotional material, or unsolicited advertisements.
• Upload content that violates the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to cheat the reward system (e.g., spoofing GPS locations to claim check-ins).
• Impersonate another user or coffee shop.

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without prior notice.

4. Check-ins and Rewards

Points (Beans), badges, and XP are awarded for legitimate visits to participating coffee shops, verified via QR scan and GPS location. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency outside of specific in-app redemptions (like Avatar items or physical merch, subject to availability and separate terms). We reserve the right to adjust point balances or revoke badges if cheating or system exploitation is detected.

5. User-Generated Content

By posting photos, reviews, or other content to the app, you grant the Kentucky Coffee Trail a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the app and its promotion. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the products, services, or actions of the independent coffee shops featured on the trail. Your physical travel and visits to these locations are at your own risk.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms of Use.
