What to Do

The Carter House Collective
The Carter House Collective is a 12,000 square foot marketplace and community gathering space in the heart of downtown Vanceburg, right across from the Kangaroo Ridge Farms coffee shop. Under one roof you'll find antique, boutique, and artisan vendors, each with their own space and their own story, all built on a simple idea: community over competition. Come browse vintage finds, handmade goods, and small-batch treasures from local makers, then stick around for whatever is happening that week. The Carter House hosts open mic and writers nights, monthly book club on the back deck, Food Truck Fridays, photo walks, craft nights, and more. There's always a reason to come back. Why Vanceburg? Why not Vanceburg. This little river town has a lot more going on than people expect, and The Carter House Collective is proof of it. Stop in, shop local, and see what a small town can build when neighbors show up for each other.
