It Started With One Small-Town Coffee ShopAnd a Big Dream
The Kentucky Coffee Trail™ was brewed from a simple idea: that a great cup of coffee can bring people together, strengthen communities, and spark pride in the places we call home.
Our Mission
To celebrate Kentucky's local flavor, champion small businesses, and invite visitors to experience the Commonwealth one cup at a time.
Celebrate Local Flavor
Every shop on the Trail represents more than coffee — it's a story of hard work, hospitality, and hometown heart.
Champion Small Business
When you stop for a latte in a tiny Appalachian café or grab a pour-over in downtown Paducah, you're helping keep Kentucky's main streets alive.
Experience the Commonwealth
From bustling city cafés to small-town roasters tucked between hills and rivers — discover Kentucky one cup at a time.
Our Journey
How the Trail came to be
A Small-Town Dream
The team behind Kangaroo Ridge Farms opened a community coffeehouse in rural Eastern Kentucky — not just to serve lattes, but to breathe new life into their main street.
A Movement Begins
What began as a local gathering spot soon became a movement centered around connection, storytelling, and revitalization.
The Trail Takes Shape
As travelers began to visit from across the state, one thing became clear: Kentucky needed a way to celebrate all of its independent coffee shops.
The Kentucky Coffee Trail™
Born from that vision, the Trail unites small businesses, spotlights local craftsmanship, and creates a new way to experience the Commonwealth — one cup at a time.
Nine Regions, One Trail
The Kentucky Coffee Trail™ connects travelers with independent coffee shops across all nine of the Commonwealth's official tourism regions.
"We believe coffee is more than a drink — it's a connection point. Every cup tells the story of the people who poured their hearts into it."
— The Kentucky Coffee Trail™ Team
